QCLUB2 – CLUSTER BUILDING MEASURES FOR QSENS

The goal of the QCLUB2 project is to make the enormous potential of quantum sensor research visible beyond the boundaries of science and to translate it into economic and societal applications.

The subproject E4F‑Q: Elements4Founding for Quantum focuses on the interface between research and entrepreneurship and is specifically aimed at early-career researchers, PhD candidates, and postdoctoral researchers. Its goal is to strengthen their skills in innovation and knowledge transfer, thereby paving the way from basic research to successful application. E4F‑Q is coordinated by Dr. Andreas Wahl at the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Research (ENI). It builds on the experience gained from the Elements4Founding project and comprises three core focus areas tailored to the specific requirements of quantum sensing.

Our Activities in Focus

RISE Workshop Series (Research, Innovation, Science, and Entrepreneurship):
Through modular formats such as Business Model Development, Pitch Training, and Intellectual Property, we provide entrepreneurial know-how and promote a transfer-oriented mindset and interdisciplinarity. The RISE workshop series will launch in the first half of 2025 and is open to researchers and scientists from all disciplines.

Incubation – Quantum Venture Labs:
As part of the QCLUB2 project, the NXTGN initiative is developing the concept for an incubator program called Quantum Venture Labs. The program is designed to provide long-term support to researchers on their path to market readiness and to facilitate access to the startup ecosystem.

InTCapQ (Innovation and Transfer Capabilities for Quantum):
This new module is being developed in 2025 specifically to support researchers from the QSENS future cluster in commercializing their innovations and gaining access to relevant markets.

Further activities of QCLUB2 build on the successful initiatives of QCLUB during the first funding phase of the QSENS cluster in order to strengthen collaboration between projects. These include the IP Voucher Program, which supports researchers in protecting their intellectual property, the promotion of open publishing, and the establishment of the QSENS association.
