Quanten4KMU — Infrastructure Platform for Quantum Sensing

The project aims to expand the technical foundations for the development of quantum sensors within the QSens cluster by providing shared infrastructure and equipment. Building on the first funding phase, a cryostat for quantum microscopy and a system for printing micro-optical elements are to be procured. These devices will enhance the optical periphery of NV centers and enable new types of quantum microscopes.

The technological focus is on the integration of novel materials and manufacturing technologies required for practical quantum technologies. Key activities include micro- and nanostructuring, operation of specialized measurement laboratories, and technological consulting for the implementation of quantum sensors. In addition, access to these technologies and facilities is being organized for all cluster partners.

The project strengthens the research and innovation capabilities of SMEs by providing them access to advanced infrastructure in the field of quantum technologies. This shared environment supports the development of scalable and high-performance quantum sensors and measurement systems.

The project provides high-quality laboratory infrastructure, including cryogenic and optical systems, for all QSens partners. The knowledge gained and technological advancements are leveraged through patents, publications, or direct application in cluster projects, ensuring sustainable benefits.
